The Nightmare Deck: Video-Game Edition (#53-104)

This is a Nightmare Deck that is, absolutely, going to take forever and ever (and ever) to finish. I have been writing reviews, off and on, since about 2007, with the earliest reviews I’ve kept on my voyage being from about 2013. Considering I only just had enough reviews written to fill out a single draw in the Nightmare Deck, it is reasonable to think it will take a few years to finish this Draw.

As of Oct. 17th, the only videogame to take a serious swing at joining the Nightmare Deck is Crow Country, an old-school styled survival horror from an indie developer with a lot of charm. It didn’t have enough to breakthrough, but it was a solid showing from S.F.B., and I look forward to when I have a chance to play another of their videogames.

The videogames I am currently playing that I may review include: Hades II (which will be in the Black Deck), Lords of the Fallen (which I will be including in the Nightmare Deck), A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead, Tiny Tina’s Wonderland (Black Deck), The Rogue Prince of Persia (Black Deck), Shin Megami Tensei V, and Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes.

1.) Crow Country – review originally written in 2025 (3.7 out of 5.0)

developed by S.F.B. (1)

2.) Alone in the Dark – review originally written in 2025 (3.0 out of 5.0)

developed by Pieces Interactive (1)

3.) Slender: The Arrival – review originally written in 2014 (1.0 out of 5.0)

developed by Blue Isle Studios (1)
